Learn About

MAURO MOLLE from ITALY

Mauro’s unique style is influenced by the rich history and experiences of his country and demonstrates his interest and fascination for the human form. According to Mauro, “I was born in Rome and have always lived here. My country is the homeland of some of the most famous classic painters, and Italian classic art has most certainly inspired my work. At the same time, Rome is also a huge, contemporary and chaotic city, so this lends a modern feature to my art. Finally, my country, like all other rich countries, is affected by ‘modern guilts’ that are often, though not always, themes in my work.”

Mauro’s paintings transport us to another time and place merging classical art with a modern satirical twist.

La Biennale di Venezia

While in Venice, we attended the 53rd International Art Exhibition, “Making Worlds”, La Biennale di Venezia in 2009. We left the exhibition with more ideas and inspiration than imagined. The international art experience aligned perfectly with our vision for Elementos Design; discovering artists who create objects through inspiration that surrounds them, and sharing these works of art and the story behind them with others motivated by the artist’s introspective view of the world.”

Daniel Birnbaum the Director of the exhibition wrote these inspirational words, “A work of art is more than an object, more than a commodity. It represents a vision of the world, and if taken seriously must be seen as a way of making a world. A few signs marked on paper, a barely touched canvas, or a vast installation can amount to different ways of worldmaking, and the strength of the vision is hardly dependent on the complexity of the tools brought into play.”

Design in Sicily

WELCOME to ANIME A SUD

Talk about multi-faceted! Not only is Luca Giannini one of our featured Italian artists for his paintings, sculptures and photography (find him in our web gallery) but several years ago he expanded his talents to vacation home design and management. We would like to introduce you to his artistic, romantic, private and eco-friendly tourist home in Sicily. This is a rare and very special opportunity for you to stand face to face with his art and see firsthand how his beautiful pieces can be designed into your own home.

Join us as we take a journey through Luca’s treasured design property in Modica, Sicily, which he named Anime a Sud, or Spirits of the South…
